For everyone's review, here is the registration agreement.  Everyone should have read this when registering.  You must understand and agree to this to be a member here.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Welcome to the Second Amendment Society Forums!

Please read the following carefully, as important information regarding your account is detailed below.

The Obligatory Legal Stuff

You agree, through your use of this forum, that you will not post any material which is false, defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, adult material, or otherwise in violation of any International or United States Federal law. You also agree not to post any copyrighted material unless you own the copyright or you have written consent from the owner of the copyrighted material. Spam, flooding, advertisements, chain letters, pyramid schemes, and solicitations are also forbidden on this forum.

Note that it is impossible for the staff or the owners of this forum to confirm the validity of posts. Please remember that we do not actively monitor the posted messages, and as such, are not responsible for the content contained within. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any information presented. The posted messages express the views of the author, and not necessarily the views of this forum, its staff, its subsidiaries, or this forum's owner. Anyone who feels that a posted message is objectionable is encouraged to notify an administrator or moderator of this forum immediately. The staff and the owner of this forum reserve the right to remove objectionable content, within a reasonable time frame, if they determine that removal is necessary. This is a manual process, however, please realize that they may not be able to remove or edit particular messages immediately. This policy applies to member profile information as well.

You remain solely responsible for the content of your posted messages. Furthermore, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless the owners of this forum, any related websites to this forum, its staff, and its subsidiaries. The owners of this forum also reserve the right to reveal your identity (or any other related information collected on this service) in the event of a formal complaint or legal action arising from any situation caused by your use of this forum.

You have the ability, as you register, to choose your username. We insist that you keep the name appropriate and clean. With this user account you are about to register, you agree to never give your password out to another person except an administrator, for your protection and for validity reasons. You also agree to NEVER use another person's account for any reason.  We also HIGHLY recommend you use a complex and unique password for your account, to prevent account theft.

After you register and login to this forum, you will be able to fill out a detailed profile. It is your responsibility to present clean and accurate information. Any information the forum owner or staff determines to be inaccurate or vulgar in nature will be removed, with or without prior notice. Appropriate sanctions may be applicable.

Please note that with each post, your IP address is recorded, in the event that you need to be banned from this forum or your ISP contacted. This will only happen in the event of a major violation of this agreement.

Also note that the software places a cookie, a text file containing bits of information (such as your username and password), in your browser's cache. This is ONLY used to keep you logged in/out. The software does not collect or send any other form of information to your computer.

Lastly, as this forum is the private property of the owner, please remember that you have no right to privacy here.  All aspects of your account may be examined as needed to investigate issues concerning the forum, its members and its owner.  Therefore, in your best interests, please treat all information you keep here as though it were public.

Stuff You Need To Know About Membership Here

We employ a tiered membership system here.  When you first register and have zero posts, the only thing you will be able to see are the rules forum and the introduction forum.  You are required to read and understand our rules, and make an introduction!  Until you introduce yourself in the intro thread, you will not have access to the rest of the forum.  Also, don't forget to fill out your profile.

After you make your introduction, you will gain limited access to the other forums.  Most forums you will have full access to.  Other forums will be visible but read-only (you can read but not post) and others will be hidden altogether.  Things will remain limited like this until you make 15 posts.  Consider this your probationary period.  Any violations of the rules within this probationary period will be handled with strict enforcement measures, usually a ban and an account deletion.

Additionally, if you do not post within 30 days of registering, or your account goes unused for 90 days, your account is subject to automatic deletion barring extenuating circumstances (ie: military deployment, medical issues, etc.).  The software that handles the account deletion process will send you an e-mail 7 days beforehand notifying you of your account's pending deletion.  To prevent your account from being deleted, you must reply to the e-mail within the 7 day period.

Our policy is quality over quantity.  We have had many thousands of registrants in the past several years, but currently only have approximately 100 members in total.  This may not seem like a lot, however because of our membership system, account deletion policies, and enforcement of the rules, we have ensured that each and every member is of the utmost character and is active.  Forums with large membership numbers only have participation percentages in the single digits.  Our percentage of active members is nearly 100%.  You will find no trolls or morons here, and if you are one, just save yourself the time and move along right now because it is guaranteed that you wont last.  On the other hand, if you're a good person and want to talk guns, you've found the right place!

So again, welcome to the Second Amendment Society Forums.  We look forward to meeting you and having many good discussions with you!

Peace is not the absence of conflict, it is the presence of justice.

"You cannot be, I know, nor do I wish to see you, an inactive spectator...We have too many high sounding words, and too few actions that correspond with them." -- Abigail Adams to husband John, 1775

"I wander alone, and ponder.  I muse, I mope. I ruminate.  We have not men fit for the times.  We are deficient in genius, education, in travel, fortune--in everything.  I feel unutterable anxiety."-- John Adams, 1774
