Welcome, Visitor!

From your perspective, you probably think there's not a lot to look at on this forum.  On the contrary, however.  You see, many of our forums are hidden to unregistered users.  These forums will become visible to you once you register, log in and introduce yourself.  After that first introduction post, the majority of the forums will be unlocked for your viewing.

A few forums will remain read-only (that is, you can read but not post) until you reach a certain number of posts, and a few more wont be visible at all until you reach another amount of posts.  We apologize for the slight inconvenience, but we do this as a precaution.  Over the years, we've seen it all.  We've had anti-gunners and random nut jobs come in and start trouble.  We've had spam bots register and start advertising their garbage.  And, we've actually had some people register just to spy on us to see what we're doing.  You name the trouble and we've probably had it.  As this forum is a real community where most of us know each other quite well, we don't take kindly to that sort of behavior.

Thus, we instituted these measures to help weed the idiots out  I hope you can understand our precautions and see fit to join our community.  Truth is, once you're a member, you'll come to appreciate the peace and quiet the measures bring to our forum.  Our, what you might call "signal-to-noise ratio," is pretty good here.  Smiley

Once you log in for the first time and make that introductory post, a whole new forum will be unlocked for you!  We'll be seeing you on the boards!  Cheesy

Peace is not the absence of conflict, it is the presence of justice.

"You cannot be, I know, nor do I wish to see you, an inactive spectator...We have too many high sounding words, and too few actions that correspond with them." -- Abigail Adams to husband John, 1775

"I wander alone, and ponder.  I muse, I mope. I ruminate.  We have not men fit for the times.  We are deficient in genius, education, in travel, fortune--in everything.  I feel unutterable anxiety."-- John Adams, 1774
